Description:

Global security studies focuses on a broad range of academic disciplines, from anthropology and sociology to history and religion. These courses provide context for current and emerging domestic and international situations. Forward-thinking programs allow you to prepare for the future of worldwide security. To do this, they place a strong emphasis on growing trends like cyber warfare. Studying diplomacy, political science and social patterns can be helpful, too. These disciplines may enhance your ability to understand and respond to new developments.

Global security studies provide the foundation necessary for policy analysis and strategic thinking. The coursework may offer a more holistic understanding of these topics and help you build on your existing professional experience.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    Applicants must have a minimum of a 3.00 cumulative GPA in the last 60 hours of their bachelor's program. Alternatively, applicants must have a minimum of a 3.00 cumulative GPA in the last 12 units of their post-baccalaureate transcript.
